And the winner in the all-important veepstakes is.......John King, CNN.

Turned on the teevee this morning and CNN was bouncing, making the most of their reporter breaking the story that Barack Obama had selected Joe Biden as his running mate.

A quick turn to the email inbox--sorry guys, I don't text--and there amid the emails offering autumn garden goodies were MSNBC Alerts: Associated Press confirms..., then later, NBC confirms.... And about four hours later, THE message from Barack.

Ya can't duck it, NBC. There's only one King of the media this morning.

Now, can we get on with the election and enough of the horseraces?
