Be sure to read Josh Marshall this morning on the—my word would be "appalling"—lack of reporting during and after this sorry episode [of trashing Shirley Sherrod] from the millionaire sheep media's club about the true villains of the case: Andrew Breitbart and the execrable Fox Empire.

Unlike Rick Sanchez yesterday, I cut no slack for any "newsers" inside Fox...or outside for that matter. Those who take Rupert's paycheck wear the same sh*tty overcoat. Those who schmooze with Rupert and Roger in the salons in polite Village society, no slack either. Roger Ailes is the unspoken in the punchbowl.

The announcement today of Elena Kagan's nomination for Justice on the Supreme Court was just the latest opportunity for the punditocracy to be unleashed like baying dogs upon we hapless teevee viewers who actually hold out hope for a bias toward facts and news on the cables instead of the seemingly ceaseless wallowing in partisan talking points.

I agree with Donna Brazile.

Meanwhile. Instead of running for the U.S. Senate in Connecticut, perhaps pro wrestling empresariesse Linda McMahon should spent her gazillion$$$$ on buying herself a cable "news" network. She'd fit right in.

Just in case my comment doesn't make it past the mods over at Huffington Post regarding Giuliani's preposterous lies to George Stephanopoulos regarding national security, here it is for y'all [note Rudy was singin' the same sackoshit song to Morning Sludge today]:

Stephanopoulos, Scarborough, Brzezinski each and all the rest of the media enablers allowing the likes of Giuliani and Chee-knee and Chee-knee Jr. to continue to spew their lies are culpable. The media mice own these lies as surely as the ones who utter them.

Reliable Reaction: Who? One of Us?

This morning on Reliable Sources, Howard Kurtz talked to Bill Press and Kathleen Parker about whether Bill O'Reilly is accountable for the murder of Kansas women's health doctor, Dr. Tiller.

I won't bore you with the apologist, he's one of us--talkers--attitude coming from all three about O'Reilly. At least Bill Press offered some caveat about being mindful of one's words.

No one disagrees that ultimately the killer [I will not name him, I will not add to his notoriety and cause celebre...] is accountable.

However, here's what's missing from the conversation. Where among all these talkers is the woman speaking out, telling why a late term abortion was a necessary medical choice for her? No, the talkers all accept as default that "late term abortion" is wrong without having any understanding of what medical conditions are at issue.

Speaking out takes courage, as one woman writing to the Minneapolis Tribune this weekend showed in describing her infant who starved within days because of a solid esophagus and intestines that were a fibrous mass. A Catholic, she chose not to terminate the pregnancy against doctor's advice. But she had the choice.
